5 Street Festivals to Check Out This Summer
With over 100+ street festivals coming to Chicago this summer, we decided to round up the 5 you can't miss!
1. Belmont Sheffield Music Festival
Dates: May 25 & 26 (Memorial Day Weekend)
Located on Sheffield from Belmont to Roscoe St., this festival is the perfect place to kick off the summer! Enjoy a day filled with awesome bands and equally delicious food and libation vendors. Plus – we’ll be there with our own booth so come by and say hi!
2. Wells Street Art Festival
Dates: June 8 – 9
WSAF features over 225 local and international artists specializing in a wide variety of styles. Whether you’re looking for sculptures, jewelry, woodworking or traditional painting, this festival has everything you could want and more!
3. Randolph Street Market Fest
Dates: June 29 & 30, July 27 & 28, August 23 & 24
This festival happens 3x times a summer, and for good reason! According to the official Randolph Street Market Fest website, attendees will “experience 300 vendors with the best of unique vintage, antique & repurposed furniture, art, decor, ephemera, vintage fashion for men & women.”
4. Windy City Smokeout
Dates: July 12 – 14
Taking place this year in the parking lot of the United Center, this 3-day festival has an impressive country line-up of 18 bands including Eli Young Band, Chris Young, Old Dominion, and Cole Swindell as well as 20+ chefs grilling up some of the world’s best BBQ.
5. Chicago Hot Dog Fest
Dates: August 9 – 11
Make sure to come hungry to this family-friendly festival hosted by the Chicago History Museum! Vendors will be selling both Chicago-style franks, as well as some new mouth-watering creations.
