“Summertime in Chicago”… the beginning of some of the most epic, you’ll-feel-jealous-you-weren’t-there stories you’ll hear.

Dubbed the “Best Summer City” (by us), we know you’d agree after one week in the Windy City during these warm months. Whether you head to Wrigley to watch the Cubs grab another W, or take a nice relaxing bike ride along the lakefront, there is one summer activity we insist you add to your calendar: Chicago Summer Festivals! With over 100 festivals lined up between the May – September, there’s no excuse to not attend at least one of these. Check out a couple of our favorite festivals we will be enjoying this summer!

Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival
Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival is a Lakeview go-to this summer. Equipped with some of Chicago’s greatest tribute bands, DJs, street food and handcrafted artisan merchandise, it’s understandable why Belmont-Sheffield has one of the largest festival audience of the summer. Kick off your festival season off with a bang next weekend, May 26-27th – you won’t regret it!

Taste of Lincoln
Although it does not have the same magnitude and attention as the Taste of Chicago, the Taste of Lincoln in Wrightwood is in a class of its own. With a plethora of food and craft vendors, five entertainment stages, a kids’ carnival area, and wine & whiskey tastings – they truly have something for everyone. Don’t miss out; this event will take place July 28-29!

Craft Brews at Lincoln Park Zoo
Calling all those craft beer lovers! Are you tired of only having to choose between bland and generic lite beers as your beverage options? Well from June 15-16th, make your way to Craft Brews at Lincoln Park Zoo. Stocked with over 120 craft brew options from 40 local and regional breweries, this festival was made for you!

Retro on Roscoe
From August 10-12, Retro on Roscoe brings you back in time with your favorite tunes from the 70s-90s. Grab some old friends, wear that Aerosmith shirt you keep in the back of your closet, reminisce on the good ole’ days and enjoy yourself. Retro on Roscoe is held on one of the most beautifully tree-lined streets the city has to offer. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this festival.
