Tips to Decorating Your Studio

Back To Blog

Studio living can be tough - mostly because you're expected to fit your entire life in one room! But don't worry, here are some tips to maximize your space and feel right at home:

Measure EVERYTHING first.

With studios, it’s difficult to just “wing it” when it comes to planning furniture so bed, couches, tables, headboards – everything – should not only be measured, but have its own proper place in mind.

Make your own “walls”.

If you don’t want to spend the money on a partition, you can strategically place couches, bookshelves, or even your bed to separate and close off certain areas for your own makeshift wall.

Storage, storage, storage.

Places that would normally sit vacant or that you’d never even consider storing things in are now your best friends. Under your bed, under your couch, behind your door, above your cabinets – the list goes on!

Organize it all.

With limited space, it’s especially important to make sure everything has a place it belongs. Otherwise, things can get very cluttered, very quickly. It may seem overwhelming at first, but organizers can essentially be put everywhere and can help keep your studio as spacious as possible!
